It flowed and the pace was fine, however there were parts when it moved a bit slow for my liking. Jericho is very protective of Izzy and would willingly give his his life to save her.The story addressed real life issues such as drug addiction and drug and human trafficking which helped to make the story realistic. The loss was to his rock-star lifestyle which ultimately proved to be destructive. He had spent the past decade of his life regretting his loss of Izzy. As such she is always on the move, however that would change when she started working in a shifter bar and her past in he form of Jericho caught up with her.Jericho a rock star and a wolf shifter on the other hand had a fear of commitment. She is a loner and never saw herself as part of a pack. Izzy a wolf shifter feared rejection as she was rejected by her own family for being different. They both cared about each other but they were both afraid to cross the lines of friendship. They have been friends for a very long time. Isabelle (Izzy) and Jericho are great together. The way in which they were portrayed made it easy for me to connect with them. The main characters were easy to relate to.
